5 Tips to Choose the Right Apartment in Tulum

Once your real estate broker hits you with a lot of options, price lists, and floor plans for various developments. It is time to choose the ideal unit for you, but how do you know which one is the best one? Since many times the clients are not physically there to see the development or is just under construction? Here are 5 tips to help you choose a good apartment in Tulum or Playa del Carmen.
1- If you are going to rent out your apartment on Airbnb, you have to think as if you were the guest who is going to stay in your apartment. Choose a development that has several amenities that will keep your guest busy if it is a rainy day or if he just wants to chill.
Amenities such as Yoga, Gym, Restaurant, Bar, reading area, Jacuzzi, nice pool, outdoor cinema, business room or co-working space for Digital Nomads, etc. That will make your guest always feel comfortable and leave you a better review at the end.
2- If your option is the first level or ground floor, an apartment with a small garden, a jacuzzi or a private outdoor plunge pool could be cool. Make sure it is pet-friendly.
3- If those are already gone and there are no more available. Try to pick the apartments that are at a good high level. Maybe 3rd or 4th floor for a better view, nice ocean breeze and better light. Speaking of light, it is important to realize where the sun sets and rises. That way you can enjoy more of those incredible moments. With a good cup of coffee or Mezcal!
4- One piece of advice that I give to my clients is; Invest in a couple of bikes! If your apartment on Airbnb offers the use of bicycles included. It will be an incredible way for people to choose your department over others since you are doing something that your competition is not doing. I'm sure that will leave you with better reviews!
5- Make sure you have the basics so that your guest is comfortable. With the new way of life that we have after COVID, the solidity of a good internet is basic. Ask how fast the internet will be and if they have Fiber Optic for those guests who work while traveling.
